Hard to Watch
After our beloved Colorado Buffs somehow blew a 45-17 fourth-quarter lead yesterday, even Jonas, decked out in his finest CU wear, couldn't stand to show his face in it.

Great Balls of Fire
Turns out, Jonas does other impressions. One of his favorite toys now is a little music machine that he can activate by hitting or slapping or doing just about anything. But the other morning, he discovered that he could play it just as easily with his powerful feet, which reminded Mom just a bit of Jerry Lee Lewis. You make the call...

Baby Tark
In the 1980s, basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian became famous for stuffing a towel in his face as his favorite stress reducer. In recent weeks, Jonas has been doing his best impression.

New Poll
One of our astute readers noted the other day that we probably should name Jonas' new humidifier, since we name just about everything that he owns. So, in the spirit of Election Day earlier this week, feel free to vote in our new poll on the right and we'll name him whatever the people want!
Inner New Yorker
Baseball season ended this week with Jonas apparently proving good luck for the Giants, who won their first World Series since moving to San Francisco. But the next day, Jonas already began looking toward next season as a fan of Dad's favorite team, the Mets. He not only donned his Mets uniform for the occasion, but he also seemed to be channeling his inner New Yorker. Here, he seems to be saying, "Hey use guys, whodya think the new manager's gonna be?"...
...And here he seems to be saying, "Hey! What's a guy gotta do around here to get some privacy. C'mon with the camera already!"

Mr. Mister
It was inevitable, but the Big Guy suffered through his first fever and runny nose this week, an uncomfortable experience for all involved. But the arrival of a new product in our home — a humidifier — seems to have turned the tide. The magic healing power of Jonas' new elephant friend appears to have been just the trick.

Sweet Face
As part of our Halloween hangover of sweets (and to celebrate his two-thirds birthday!), today we offer another sweet shot of our sweet little guy.

Halloween Party
Jonas, Mom and Dad went to a pumpkin-carving party yesterday to celebrate his first Halloween, and Jonas had a blast hanging out with all the kids running around. Since he can't run around just yet, he showed off in other ways, like demonstrating how he plays patty-cake...
...and he demonstrated just how adorable he is (this shot courtesy of our host Jeff, one of Dad's former co-workers at the paper...)
...and he also got to experience some new things, like playing on the grass...
...but all the time, he had a watchful eye on all the other kids, studying carefully what this whole running-around thing is all about for when he's big enough...
...in the end, it was a lot to take in, so Jonas decided to take another nap, dreaming perhaps of all the candy corns he'll be able to stuff into his mouth once he's old enough...

The Great Pumpkin
For someone not even eight months old, Jonas has a pretty full calendar of activities to mark his first Halloween. Today, he'll be attending a pumpkin-carving party, but yesterday, he got the chance to try out his first Halloween costume at the local library with Mom during reading time, when all the kids were encouraged to come decked out. Jonas' first costume? Take a look...
...At first, Jonas didn't know what to make as he took it all in...
...At first, Jonas didn't know what to make as he took it all in...
...but soon enough, he realized how much fun he was having...
...as usual, he pulled up to the twin girls he's made friends with each Friday, but seemed most mesmerized by their grandmother's feather boa, which he had fun running his fingers through (so gently, the grandmother noted)...
...but in a room full of little kids in costumes, it was hard to keep his attention in one place for long...
...and especially when you consider Yoda was in attendance...
...not to be outdone, Jonas quickly turned into his own version of an old, wise Jedi master, known as Ol' Man Jonas...
...by the time library time was done, so was our Great Pumpkin, no doubt dreaming of his next fun Halloween adventure...
