7th Heaven

One of the best parts of living on a golf course is that when the golfers stop coming by, the course itself essentially becomes a big park. And in the winter, when the snow stays on the ground for weeks at a time, that means the golfers don't come by at all, leaving a glacier-like wonderland along the 7th fairway at Red Hawk Ridge Golf Course behind our house. With the weather quite nice this weekend, we took the opportunity—and the endless sheet of snow still on the course from our last big snow—to get Jonas decked out in snow gear for some afternoon sledding. And what a great time we had. Jonas even managed to keep his sunglasses on through the whole experience. Here's some shots of Jonas sledding about (with some shots of Castle Rock in the background)...
...not content to be confined to the sled, Jonas also tried walking in the snow, which was met with mixed results. In fact, he needed more than a little help from Dad and Mom...
...and as it turns out, Jonas and Mom have a very similar step when it comes to the snow...
...but what was perhaps the most fun of all was getting a glimpse of what Jonas will look like in a few years when he's sitting by the ski lift waiting for his friends to make it down the run...
...after a while, the sun started setting on our snow outing and it was time to head back in...
...but not before one little boy had the time of his life out on the course.
