This week is Circus Week at Nub in the Oven as we recap a memorable first circus outing that Mom and Dad took Jonas on this past weekend. Dad had interviewed the head of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus for his magazine a few weeks back and when the man offered Dad some tickets to see the event in person, Dad decided to take him up on the offer. So off we went to Denver on Saturday for Jonas' first experience. Mom and Dad came in with low expectations, not knowing how Jonas would react to all the noise and darkness and crazy-looking people who perform, let alone if he would be able to sit still for it. But as you'll see over the next week, Jonas had himself one heck of a good time. Some things haven't changed in all the years of the circus, including the bombardment of concessions that are available to marvel at when you walk in...
...that, of course, includes lots of things that light up...
...the concession stands did what they were supposed to: Jonas was immediately enthralled...
...but that was just a taste of what awaited once the Big Guy got under the Big Top. Stay tuned this week to see what happened next.
