New Year's Tradition

When Mom and Dad lived in California, one of their favorite things to do was go up to Pasadena after the Rose Bowl and check out the Rose Parade floats that were on display for several days after the game. With us in Colorado now and with Mom working today, Dad decided at least to give Jonas a flavor of the fun by watching the parade for a bit on television. Jonas enjoyed calling out all the animals and types of transportation he recognized as depicted on the floats. And he even learned a new word that brought a tear to Dad's eye: Marching band!
